These gallant and well-intentioned declamations make sense in most situations, but not when youâre fighting zombies (or soldiers who fight like zombies). What the enemy commanders in these examples fail to understand is that zombies want to kill them and eat their brains. While Zombie Commanders may use zombies to further tactical and political agendas, the zombies on the ground (which is to say all of them [unless youâve created some kind of flying zombie . . . which would be totally awesome]) donât care about politics or tactics. They just want to eat you. This fact will become crystal clear to the enemy general and his troops once you encircle them. Theyâll be all, âWait a minute . . . . Somethingâs wrong here. These guys are acting like killing machines that canât be reasoned with. And itâs hard to get killing machines to capitulate, surrender, or call a truce to recover bodies of fallen comrades. Maybe I totally misunderstood what I was getting into by fighting these guys. Jesus . . . Maybe I should be pull back and reassess this opponent before more of my men get eaten. And maybe I should do it real fucking soon, because they seem to be forming a circle around us.â
